hi; the bibliography and the introduction to afp (and to the weird and mostly wonderful world of newsgroups in general) are two of the five "faqs" i wrote for the newsgroup, alt.fan.pratchett: karen kindly took over the other three, and i no longer have any more to do with them than does any other afper - which is as things should be.
i auto-post the latest versions of these to AFP every other week, on saturdays or sundays - it being cheaper for people who pay for their telephone connection time to download files at the week-end, ceteris paribus - and the up-to-date versions are also available here for browsing, or downloading for private use.
(please note that these faqs are my work, and are - automatically - copyright by me: "they are thin at the beginning, get thicker in the middle, and..." *g*):
permission is given to store copies locally on private computers, and/or to print them out upon paper or any other material in whole or in part so long as the acknowledgements are included, for personal use.
permission for any other use should be obtained from the author - i.e., from ppint. at IMT (email: v$imt$v at the domain i-m-t.demon.co.uk)
the .zip files are quicker to download, being about one-third the size of the text files; nb you should switch from ascii to binary mode to download them, if the ftp software you're using does not automagically do this for you.
hoping you find these faqs useful, - yours, ppint.
