Hasbro-Bradley, Wizards of the Coast's owners (and WotC themselves, once they'd bought the wreck of TSR) have wreaked mayhem upon the catalogue of books set in the Forgotten Realms world (and likewise on those set in the Alternity, Birthright, Darkspace, Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Ravenloft and Spelljammer worlds) built up over the decades from their fantasy, SF ∓ horror role-playing games.

  Gygax lost control of TSR after #2 was published; he took Gord the Rogue with him to New Infinities, whilst TSR published further, non-Gord, Greyhawk novels

Gary Gygax lost control of T.S.R. and, after a hiatus, set up New Infinities; the subsequent Gord the Rogue books are still set in the world of Greyhawk, though this is still owned by T.S.R.
