Amber RPG
- Amber RPG was ukL 19.99 (out of stock; out of print)
- Shadow Knight was ukL 19.99 (out of stock; out of print)
- Rebma was advertised as forthcoming for a year or three... but not ever actually published
Amber RPG uses a diceless system that works; however, it is pretty well necessarily also an rpg in which all the players' characters are out for their own sweet selves, always liable to renege on an arrangement, if they're offered better terms by another; renege, or maybe renegotiate - at swordspoint.
Both the published books are now out of print; there've been rumblings of a possible re-appearance in some diceless form, as well as for the 3rd/3.5 ed. D20 System; "watch this space" is as much cheer as i can currently provide - i'll stock any new diceless edition, and at least list any d20 version, should they actually surface.
There's a couple of issues of
Hellrider, the Amber RPG fanzine, in stock.
The Chronicles of Amber
The Chronicles of Amber: Omnibus Editions
- The Great Book of Amber (large format p/b) ukL 14.99
merkin trade p/b Omnibus of both Amber Series - all ten books;
adds Trumps of Doom; Blood of Amber; Sign of Chaos; Knight of Shadows & Prince of Chaos to the first five (uk) omnibus' contents, following the initially very unwilling re-involvement of Dara & Corwin's son, Merlin, in the murderous family politics of Amber - and of the curiously courtly mirror to these, in Chaos
[the second series is generally agreed to not be as good as the first, but i enjoyed four of the second five novels - and thought one of them in the middle of the series should've been rejected for comprehensive re-thinking, and then re-written... but then, perhaps i've always been possessed of inclinations editorial - ppint.]
- The Chronicles of Amber (b format p/b) ukL 9.99 (out of stock)
Nine Princes in Amber; The Guns of Avalon; Sign of the Unicorn; The Hand of Oberon; The Courts of Chaos
Omnibus of the first, amazingly mixed-atmospheric Amber series telling of the attempts of an amnesiac with no particular reason to suspect he's anyone special to discover why he's been kept drugged, in hospital; who has ordered this; why the world is considerably weirder than it "ought" to be; and why it contains rather more in the way of impossible monsters all seemingly intent on killing him - and not all of these are his brothers & sisters!
The answers lead him to the heart of Amber, the true world, of which this world is but a shadow reality; to the middle of several simultaneous civil wars - or are they family quarrels? - through many shadow worlds, some far from this or Amber; to his imprisonment, and the extinguishing of all hope; and what came after...

n.b. copies of the individual novels in these more-or-less uniform Sphere - Orbit editions are becoming harder to find, and tend not to stay around for long - frequently not long enough, to get listed;
i sometimes also see earlier, non-uniform Sphere & Corgi uk p/b editions of the first three books, and sometimes - rarely - copies of the merkin Avon mmp/bs i imported here & at Single Step; please e-ask, if interested (v$imt$v at my domain, i-m-t.demon.co.uk - written out like this, to slow down spammers' address list-building)

Hugo Award-winning novel, and one of my all-time favourites. "His followers called him Mahasamatman, and called him a god. He preferred to drop the Maha- and the -atman, however, and called himself Sam. He never claimed to be a god. But then, he never claimed not to be a god. Circumstances being as they were, neither admission could be of any benefit. Silence, though, could."
