- Cthulhu Dark Ages New title in 10th March 2004 (out of stock and print)
It is the year of our lord 950, and much of Europe is in a sorry state. The remains of the Roman Empire, centered upon Byzantium (Constantinople, modern day Istanbul) is occupied in iconoclasm, religious disputation and civil unrest - when it is not actively engaged in civil war; the Roman church is generally weak, ill-educated - and frequently depraved - throughout western europe, many cities are depopulated, trade is stagnant everywhere, and robber barons do pretty much as they like.
The Byzantine, Theodorus Philetas has translated the Al Azif into greek, renaming it The Necronomicon; it will take one hundred years, and much blood, and increasing madness, before the book is condemned as blasphemous, and very nearly all copies are destroyed: and even then, the evil does not end... In an age where books are not common, and their authors' scholarship rarely doubted, ancient knowledge is authoritative wisdom, unchallenged save when declared heretical, or contrary to Aristotle

There are Two Japans: one is the bright, modern, technical and electronics-enamoured wonder of glass, fibre optics and steel; the other is a shadowy labyrinth of feudal corruption. The two co-exist uneasily upon their volcanic archipelago, off the north-eastern coast of Asia - islands that are the battle-ground of ancient entities that once ruled the Empire of the Sun, and who are not yet reconciled to its loss; Azathoth, Hastur, Yig, Nyarlethotep; and, behind and above them all, great Cthulhu...
Japan: a necklace of cold and glittering jewels of enlightenment in the sea of the darkness of ultimate cosmic hostility that is the truth: the millennium is indeed here, and the third and final age of man is over, if not yet quite gone. Mappo has come; now the Buddha cannot save you.
Secrets of Japan contains an overview of the culture, history and people of Japan, presented as a cthulian milieu; it offers an entire new world of great potential for keepers & investigators wishing - or obliged - to take their researches further eastwards.

- Secrets of San Francisco New title in 26th April 2006 ukL 19.99
From its position as the golden gateway to the Pacific, its promise as the land of plenty for those prospectors, traders, speculators, cheats & worse who made their fortunes in the Californian Gold Rush, to its simply being the culmination of the doctrine of Manifest Destiny, in at least one interpretation, San Francisco sometimes seems thoroughly domesticated, purged of its wild excesses by the great quake & fire, perhaps: but tales of the city and the region surrounding may belie the friendly mask...
The Bay Area has known many masters, and each has left their mark upon the land - and upon the city of angels: its cosmopolitan riches attract fugitives, scholars, adventurers, adherents to unorthodox faiths and many more to the most lawless cities in the u.s.a.

- Tatters of the King New title in 15th February 2006 (1920s) ukL 19.99 (out of stock)
Over the winter of 1928, first the sensitive & the weak - and later, all manner of artists, writers & dramatists - not to mention mediums & the insane - are disturbed or produce peculiarly disturbed works, redolent of some confused panic with no obvious external causes...
The religious fringes feel new lines of divine communication are opening; some feel - and some even claim publicly - that God is talking to them directly;
And all feel the call of the stars...
Tatters of the King is a 232pp (including titles) campaign written by Tim Wiseman suitable for a party of around half a dozen investigators; ideally including a psychoanalyst or alienist, and at least some involved in the creative arts, whether professionally, or as rich amateurs. It is not necessary for all or even most to live in London or the home counties, but foreign-based investigators must be able to travel thither, and free to do so (or able to make themselves so); before the matter is settled - one way or the other - they will find themselves travelling much further afield.
Advice & guidance on options for involving the player characters in the roils of the events is provided.
Hastur's Gaze is attracted Back to the Earth for a While - and Some Things Change...
- Terrors from Beyond (1920s & 30s) - NEW ADVENTURES due in 1st, arrived 8th July 2009 ukL 19.99 (out of stock)
six adventures: "Ghost Light" by Gary Sumpter: the Hallowsay Light has been dark for several consecutive nights, and the safety of shipping near the Orkney island is at risk; nothing is known against the keepers of the Hallowsay Light, except that one of them whittles childrens toys from driftwood, one is an amateur poet, and Donald Graham, the Principal Lighthouse Keeper, plays the melodeon;
and whilst there are locally rumours abounding regarding the island, including that of the White Lady, there is nothing to suggest any of these has concrete existence; and nor has there been any permanent population upon the isle, save that of the lighthouse keepers, though neolithic man raised stones and left obscure carvings to bear witness to his presence.
three from the m.v. Helios, bringing the relief keeper, supplies and letters on its scheduled trip, volunteer to accompany Archie Finlay, the new lighthouse keeper, onto Hallowsay and to investigate the reason for its failure and provide what help the keepers may require; but what will they find?
"A Method to Madness" by John Almack: revised from that version originally presented at Necronomicon October 2001, Tampa, Florida (merkia)
in which the investigators start off inside Wormwood, a private mental asylum in New England, to which (rightly or wrongly) they have been committed - some several years hence, and some only very recently, as a result of their accidentally or otherwise causing some obstruction to the fungi/mi-go's half-completed scheme...
being inmates of the institution, they are of course at something of a disadvantage; not only are they short of resources (save for what they may improvise), but any outside contacts they may have left doubt their sanity - as, indeed, do most of them themselves, as often as not.
"Death by Misadventure" by Glyn White; wherein visitors to a recently violently (and inexplicably) deceased wealthy art collector's private collection find much to intrigue them, and decide to investigate; the trail leads to Ravensby Abbey in the Lincoln fens, and thence to thewizard, Joseph Crascall of Wisbech, apparently descended from the infamous 17th Century sorceror of the same name.
"Grave Secrets" by Brian Courtmanche; in which once local, now educated investigators are called in by the new doctor to see whether they can plumb the depths of a dark mystery in the hamlet of Stafford, Rhode Island, that seems to've claimed the life of yet another child of the Bell family every other month - to which the increasingly superstitious, puritanical locals are beginning to attribute to supernatural causes.
"The Dig" by Brian Sammons, in Arkham, Massachusetts; ideal for launching an Arkham Miskatonic University-prohibition era-set campaign;
from thirty miles west of Arkham, and the tiny community of Dunlow, the student Stephen Cambpell came to the Miskatonic University to study archaeology, where he eventually told Dr. Adam Carris about the strange inscriptions to be found in stones in the hills behind his father's farm - markings he'd always believed to be Indian, but which his teacher is stunned to discover aer in Tsath-yo, a long-dead hieroglyphic writing from ancient Hyborea.
a summer vacation dig is promptly organised, and Dr. Carris raises no objections to his colleague from the MU Anthropologu department joining in with a small contingent to study a small group of the Wammic, a reclusive tribe, living nearby, and to explore how the Hyboreans might've survived in prehistoric America; but he finds it a bit much when Dr. Amanda Nelson manoeuvres to climb aboard with a party, to study the local botany - it isn't very long since their on-again, off-again relationship finally collapsed.
and why does Professor Burlington keep his excavations only a mile or so beyond the camp a secret? and what - if anything - might the local legend of a giant wild man, the Dunlow Creature, have to do with anything?
and "The Burning Stars" by David Conyers. what happens to investigators when they're driven insane? what happens when they've become so mad, they don't know they've lost their hold on reality? and what happens, when all but one of them is killed in the most gruesome and bloody manner by the vary cause of that insanity?
the investigators in this adventure come back to consciousness in Elmwood Military Hospital, Port-au-Prince, Haiti (a US US Army Hospital), in October 1930;
and the surviving investigator doesn't know what has happened to him, what he might've discovered or done; and he's sufficiently plausible, that his friends agree to help him retrace his steps, try to discover quite what occurred during his lost week's worth of memories, and to take things from there.
it's Haiti, centre of the dark religion of Voudoun, and it's Halloween; what could possibly go wrong?
the adventures/investigations include pre-generated characters for modification or immediate use as-is, and photocopyable player handouts as appropriate.
