HackMaster is a decidedly tongue-in-cheek re-invention of Dungeons & Dragons - with Gary Gygax & Dave Arneson (the writers and original publishers of Dungeons & Dragons and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons)'s, and Peter Adkinson (founder of Wizards of the Coast, now part of Hasbro, the current owners of what was once TSR)'s blessings (and permissions, where appropriate); but the system works whether played for strictly for laughs, for the "real spirit of D&D" - and may be used as the core "engine" and guide for all the original campaigns & adventures set in the Advanced Dungeon & Dragons worlds still available from I.M.T. (& elsewhere).
The astute will notice that i'm carrying very few of these titles as shop stock; this is because i've had no demand for them since the first of the Hacklopediae of Beasts was published, whether locally or by mail order. So why list them all? Because they offer good, fun dungeon, wilderness & castle adventure role-playing games in the classic mould, from before angst-ridden soliloquies were de rigueur, if a player wished to establish their character's character - and besides,
the knights of the dinner-table would approve of them. (actually, that's probably a lie: those worthies would almost certainly sneer, whinge, moan, attempt to munchkin and generally do their level best to trash these settings, and any intended adventures & campaigns using them with utmost prejudice - but you know what i mean. or will do, once you've read just one of their stories.[a])
(and, should you be interested, i can get hold of them - generally within three-to-ten days: please e-ask me, v$imt$v at my domain, i-m-t.demon.co.uk [spelled out to reduce harvesting by spammers' list-compiling robots].)
some of these marked "(out of stock)" may not yet be published
the magazine for HackMaster rpg is the monthly comic,

(rpg or real life (tm))
