  This is a good introductory set to role-playing in the Star Wars setting "for two or more players" (i'd advise for three or more) "ages 10 and up" (i'd advise that at least one, to be the gamesmaster or gamesmistress, be twelve or older) who want to start playing the game together. If the intending gamesmaster is already familiar with running role-playing games, they do not need this, but should almost certainly rather start with the full role- playing game Core Rulebook, above.

The impression given by Hasbro/WotC is that they no longer care about this rpg, except insofar as they can use it to sell miniatures; no new material outside of the timeline updating in the Saga Edition of the rulebook - or even reprints/reissues of more than the odd one or two out-of-print major sourcebooks - seem due during 2008, 2009 or thereafter...
All new activity is in the miniatures battle game; i can obtain the plastic minis & battle scenario books to customers' order, and usually quickly, but do not stock them.
